The mechanic knows where all the sensors are. She's done this a few times now and she's starting to think the droid is doing improper installations on purpose. She unfurls the intricate tool set from the bulk of the droid's arm and lays it out across the table before her. It's a work of art, she thinks as she brushes her fingertips over the spiderweb of glinting metal pins and soft silicon covered wires. The arm assembly, when laid out as such, take up more room on the table then the droid. The Droid, who is strapped in place, so she wont spasm and ruin the delicate work that needs to be done.
The mechanic takes out a needle thin screwdriver and a facemask. She needs the advanced sensors to see the tiny joints between the glinting metal. And to see the sensors.
The droid twitches and spasms, error codes and warning flashing red across her face as the mechanic gently touches the screwdriver to a sensor. She shushes the droid, and moves to another.
If the bot insists on these regular check ups, the mechanic will be thorough. There are a lot of joints here, and a lot of sensors. And they have all night to find the issues.
